Holly loves all the animals here at the shelter and fosters several in her home. She has four children that visit on a regular basis to walk the dogs . They also play with and groom the cats. Holly's twin daughters have learned to teach obedience to the dogs in their 4H class. Her husband and two older children walk the dogs at night to get the them out of their kennels. Holly is a Jack of all trades here at the shelter, she does it all.

Sherry is a bright, young student that is attending Elmira College. She fills in at the shelter when she can. Sherry is the sunshine here at the shelter. She always sees the best side of every animal. She is a very ambitious girl and enjoys all area's of the shelter. She has worked hard to see that the animals are comfortable. She makes sure they have treats and toys to keep them occupied while in their kennels in the evening. Sherry is a pleasure to have on board.

Ray works 5 days a week and is helpful with all the heavy stuff here at the shelter. Ray enjoys spending time with all the animals. He does kennel work, dog control work, takes complaints and answers phones. Ray's family also helps out. They come on the weekends as a volunteer group.

Cameron is a student at GST (Greater Southern Tier) Boces here in Horseheads. Cameron lives in Elmira and is in the work study program at his school. He worked here during the last school year as well. He works 3 mornings a week at the shelter and will increase in days after he Gets settled in at school. Cameron is a hard worker and doesn't seem to squawk about any given task. Cam has a great sense of humor and is always looking to be kept busy. He's got to be one of the few kids that actually begs for more work. He is efficient at his job and takes his work seriously.
